• Inter-Agency Collaboration: Highlights why PA Fire Police need to work alongside local police, fire services, and EMS to improve scene safety, communication, and public trust.

• Watch Your Back: Features a message from the Editor emphasizing scene setup and constant situational awareness to avoid complacency. Includes a story from Friendsville Volunteer Fire & Rescue where a squad truck protected responders from a speeding tractor-trailer.

📅Training Opportunities

• Basic Fire Police Class: July 25–26, 2026 at Lykens Fire Dept. Register via Bucks County Community College Public Safety website.

• Advanced Fire Police Class: July 25–26, 2026 at Brookside Fire Co. in Erie, PA.

• Free RDPC Training (AWR-148): Crisis Management for School-Based Incidents on August 4, 2026 in Schnecksville, PA.

• Additional Resources: Check out NVFC (nvfc.org) and Lexipol (lexipol.com) for extra training and webinars.

📜Grants & News

• $1,000 Equipment Grant: Three grants are available per year for Member Counties to purchase essential Fire Police equipment. Applications open November 1st and close March 1st. Apply via email to pfpapresident@gmail.com.

• NHTSA First Responder Form: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released the FRIAR (First Responder Incident Advanced Reporting) form to let first responders report vehicle-related safety concerns.
